Appetizers were great but the mains were disappointing. Meats underseasoned, though sauces were good. At this price point not worth. Scallop 7/10 tasty Shrimp 9/10 almost perfect Char 6/10 a bit overcooked Lamb 5/10 overcooked Wolf cheek 4/10 very overcooked, rubbery
Lunch special til 4pm, any pan! The wolffosh cheeks, in a semi sweet teriyaki glaze is phenomal! The meat is sooo luscious, tastes and feels almost exactly like blue crab meat! I don't normally eat this much but gonna finish and might be back tonight! It's so good it's worth it even at full price!
We had a very nice lunch here with delicious food. My wife and daughter each had seafood pans, while I had the salad. All of the dishes were fantastic and the atmosphere was extremely relaxed. In addition, the prices at lunch are incredibly reasonable. Mar is well worth a stop.
This restaurant was so good that I came back a second time during my trip to Iceland. The seafood pans are absolutely incredible and easily the highlight of the menu. In my opinion, this is the best seafood restaurant in Reykjavík, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The ambiance is modern, the service is warm and friendly, and the overall dining experience is outstanding.
Definetely our favourite restaurant in Reykjavik — big portions of different seafood dishes to share, calm atmosphere, stylish design, good price also. We’ve been here three times already, and each time Eirini was our waitress — and she’s been incredible every time. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, she really made each visit special. Her positive attitude and professionalism really stood out, and she handled everything with ease and a smile. We’ll definitely be back again and again! Thank you ❤️
