Carpaccio, grilled lamb and brownie menu combination was amazing. Generous plate of perfectly cooked meat and buttery baby potatoes with a large serving of bearnaise and grilled veggies. 12490 isk.
Had dinner here on our last night in Reyjkavik. It was recommended by a staff member at the hotel we were staying. Phenomenal food, service and ambience. It was definitely more of a "locals" hangout than the restaurants on Rainbow Road. I ordered the "ocean" three course meal and everything was delicious, also good value for money!
UPDATE As always delicious food and superb service, Mateusz was very professional. Great food with superb service.very well seasoned dishes. Olga was very attentive, professional and funny. Cocktails are amazing. Little 'hiccup' with a starter but that's nothing when you have such a great staff. Very recommended. Worth visiting. Top noch 👌
Had my final meal in Iceland here at Potturinn of Pannan and was one of the most beautiful mains I’ve ever had. I had the grilled rump of lamb and every aspect of this dish was delicious and of high quality produce, the lamb was cooked perfectly. I could not pass up the creme brûlée for dessert and this was such a treat as well. Prices were very high (AUD exchange rate is shocking) but I had no qualms spending this money for a farewell meal to this beautiful country.
Found this place as we were looking for a restaurant close to our hotel we could walk to in the snow. So happy we found it, everything was absolutely delicious. We booked a table online around 4:30 for 7pm when we knew we'd be back from our tour. The restaurant was full when we got there, but did have a couple empty tables available still. The service was great and our waitress was so nice. She even offered to split the soup for us to share since we both wanted to try it. The cost of the bill was higher than expected, but that is likely just because of culture shock, everything seems to be more expensive in Iceland than what we're used to. But, not having to tip (they didn't even give the option when we paid via card) does offset the bill a bit. Also if we would have stuck to water instead of fulfilling our Coke and coffee addictions, it would have been less as well. Given the quality of the food though, I would 100% pay for this meal again, because it is hard to find truly good food like this in The States without also paying an arm and a leg anyway. Overall, I'm very happy we found this little gem, especially so close to our hotel. If we ever get to come back to Iceland, we would definitely come again. That pasta dish will be in my dreams for years to come!
