DescriptionYou will be picked up from your accommodation in the downtown Reykjavik area. From there, it's about a 15-minute trip to the basecamp. That’s where you’ll get to know your buggy, and the expert guides will give you all the safety instruction you need. You will start driving your buggy on a trail in the backlands of Reykjavik. Following the trail and reach Hengill volcano, the surrounding mountain range, and Hellisheiðarvirkjgun, the power plant for Reykjavik. Your guide will lead you to an area that looks like the moon. The first stop will be on top of a mountain with a stunning view of the mountain range. In good weather conditions, you can see Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull, two of the biggest volcanos of Iceland. Follow the trail to a place called “Þúsund vatna leiðir” – “The valley of one thousand rivers”. As the name says, a lot of splashing and fun is waiting for you. The buggies are two-seaters but you can choose to share or choose to be a single rider. The 4×4 buggies are fully automatic, fully inspected and road legal. They are full of excellent safety and design features, such as the roll cage, safety belts, and double A-arm front suspension. All of which makes for a buggy ride that’s as safe as it is comfortable.
