Our very nice local bar - a mix of ages; lots of Icelanders and a few tourists too. Great selection of Icelandic and other draft beers. In a +/- calm part of downtown, only a short walk away from the main strips. Extremely close to Hallgrímskirkja. In a very pleasant square, with outdoor seating until about 10 on the evening. Small hotels nearby and a fine restaurant (Skál) directly across the street. And we just bought an apartment up the street on Þórsgata !! Perfect new hangout :)
We stopped for happy hour. The bartender was less than excited to serve us. The $2200 ISK for a glass of wine is steep- and the pour was short. Cannot recommend.
This is one of my favorite bars in Reykjavik. It's got such a nice, cozy vibe and the service is super friendly & professional. On my most recent visit, during happy hour, I and a friend shared 2 delicious appetizers ( Hummus & Yummy baked Camambert) that really hit the spot 😋😋 ...accompanied by glasses of red wine🍷 ( house wine) that was was truly pleasant! Prices are reasonable! 😊 I'm already looking forward to my next visit. 👍
