Iceland Comfort Apartments by Heimaleiga

The ground floor rooms are literally rebuilt from shops and you sleep, eat and walk naked in a shop window. Even if it's covered with a blurred plastic there is no privacy at all. The communication with the staff is awful they didn't want to solve your problems. Each time you speak with a different agent who has no information about what you have agreed with the previous one. It is also true for written communication...
I will give 4 stars just not to misleading other travellers. Apparent ok, spacious enough nothing oversized or luxurious. Good value for money. Some small things like plates not cleaned properly. Maybe from previous travellers, but anyway someone should check this. Otherwise everything clean and in proper condition. Free parking in front of building. In a walking distance you have two big groceries. Easy and functional web page with instructions available via or code link.
Lovely apartments with everything you need and a supermarket across the street, free parking and WiFi as well. Only downside is it isn’t in the city centre area but loads of shops nearby and some tourist spots and a swimming pool, it also has good transport links and is easily accessible to the rest of Iceland by car
There were some minor issues like not enough cooking utensils, dirt under the bed and that they gave hand soap instead of dish soap in the kitchen. The location is good. There is a supermarket right in front of the building and a small one on the left. A few restaurants nearby and a fuel station too. There were washers and dryers on a couple of floors but they weren't working on one of the floors at the time. Another frustrating thing was the door locking mechanism. It unlocked with a code and you had to be very careful with the button you press or it gave an error. Our stay was mostly pleasant, however, one night when I was sitting on my bed I saw the door open and two men almost enter the apartment. I guess they weren't expecting us as they looked a little surprised. When I went to the door to ask what they want, they quickly left and said sorry. This shouldn't happen. It's a huge safety and security issue. I don't know if they give the same door code to everyone. They gave us one code that was used everywhere - to open the building door, the corridor door and our apartment door. This needs to be fixed immediately.
This place is conveniently located right in the middle of town, about 15 minutes from downtown. There’s a bus stop right outside, and parking is directly in front, which made getting around really easy. There are also several grocery stores and a restaurant just across the street. The space itself is comfortable and well-equipped. It includes three beds, a kitchenette with a mini fridge, a microwave, and useful extras like pans, a coffee press, a kettle, and mugs. There’s also a stovetop unit on the counter (with a child lock feature), along with a dining table, a flat-screen TV, and large windows that let in plenty of light. The shower is spacious, and there’s even free laundry on-site, which wasn’t mentioned in the listing but was a great bonus. There’s also an elevator, which is helpful for accessibility. There’s also great storage space, including a decent-sized closet with hangers, hooks for jackets, and shelving for shoes, which made it easy to stay organized during our stay. Now the water does have an order to it, strong at first but after letting the hot water run it goes away. It is the sulfer that is naturally in the water here all through Iceland. They do explain it in their apartment guide. Aside from that, everything else was great. At first the links on the site didn't work for us so I messaged the company on the app and they responded straight away and it was at like ten at night. Gave me links that worked, it was great. It gives detailed instructions for use of everything in the apartments, what to do if the fire alarm goes off, and the even recycle n such.
