The lamb noodle soup was absolutely incredible! This place is the best possible location to stop for lunch or dinner after some whale and puffin watching. The food came quickly and was delicious. The tea was great too.
Wow wow wow!!! This place opened recently and the photos looked good so we decided to give it a try. Food generally tastes better in Iceland given their water/ingredients so we knew as long as it was authentic it would be delicious. And oh myyyyyyyy the best beef noodle soup for sure. Comparable to what I get in Taiwan. The beef noodle soup: noodles tasted very fresh and clearly hand made. Cooked perfectly so tender with a slight chew. The beef was so good and falls apart in the hot broth and I love my veggies so I asked for extra. We get an extra order of beef as well to put in our noodles. Cucumber salad: nicely flavored and fresh and crunchy. Kimchi: hubby loves it but I don’t generally like anything tart. Wonton: uhhhhhh regret not ordering this sooner. As soon as I tasted the broth I asked the owner if he’s from Shanghai. It tasted just like back in the 80’s/90’s that you would find at some local shop in a residential alley. I haven’t tasted that in decades and it made me so so so so so happy. You get 5 yummy shrimp wontons and as an old Shanghai person the broth blew me away. We ended up eating here 4 times during our one week trip lololol. Can’t wait to be back!!! You can ask for the noodles to not be spicy. I definitely want to try the scallion oil noodles next time since that’s another Shanghainese dish.
My husband and I came in here just because we could smell the soup walking by—the lamb soup and chicken wings are some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the beef soup initially which was also delicious but the LAMB SOUP!! SO good.
Lamb noodle soup was outstanding and the beef stirfry noodles where very good. Great place to warm up after whale watching
Absolutely Marvelous. I ordered the lamb stir fry and deep fried chicken dumplings. It is rare to me to find Asian food in Iceland that is spiced to perfection and this is the case where it was marvelous! Service top notch, server was nice and smiling as he took my order. Atmosphere is a beaute. Located just near the old harbour of Reykjavik a short 7 min walk from the city centre and located in my favorite restaurant cluster in the area which is the classic teal sea breeze houses by the harbour. Inside was really nice and a nice touristy touch not as a lure but as a touristy actually useful decor
