Reykjavík Fish Restaurant

We tried fish and chips and fish soup here. They were both delicious. The fish soup had an interesting, curry-like flavor. However, the portions were quite small. The service was average. They were a little bit rushing during the service. They did not offer water. The atmosphere is average as well, nothing particular.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had the fish and chips, which we found a bit too greasy and the portion was rather small. We also tried the Arctic char, which was tasty and well prepared, although the portion size was again on the smaller side. Overall, the food was good, but we expected slightly larger portions. The restaurant seems to have plenty of seating available, which is a plus.
The Arctic char was decent and came in a very hot plate/pan. The main area of the restaurant was quite cramped and so it’s difficult if you come in a large group. I think they had more space at the back or elsewhere in the restaurant but not ideal if you want to have a view of the street.
The fish and chips so good we keep coming back here for lunch. The fish& chips are served piping hot with a crispy batter and fresh cod. The fish soup is alright, tastes so much like a creamy curry that the dish is almost Asian. Warm restaurant with friendly waiters. The restaurant is facing the rainbow street, conveniently located in the town center. Definitely a must go in Reykjavik.
