We had a fabulous meal here. The burrata starter was second to none; they were more than willing to make a slight adjustment to the pasta dish to meet my husband's tastes; and the chocolate desserts were perfect. The wait staff was just lovely as well. The portions are not large--but if you have a full 3-course meal, it is more than enough food--and the menu is on the small side. It's great that the kitchen does what it does very well--just double-check there is something you like.

Excellent and tasty meals but service is inconsistent. The char was amazing, the lamb was spicy and very tasty, the sides were fantastic. This is the restaurant of a hotel… but it is much more and it deserves to be recognized on its own rights… cozy atmosphere, great service by our local waitress first time but unacceptable delays from the kitchen at our second visit … we came back at the end of our tour of Iceland….and there was an issue with the kitchen for the deserts… 20 minutes after ordering “sorry for the delay, the deserts will come in 5 minutes… sure? Max 10 minutes, promised… “then another 20 minutes later nothing had arrived. We cancelled the deserts, paid and left. The restaurant was half empty but the kitchen was apparently overwhelmed… so sevice at 5 for our first experience but at 1 for our second experience

This place is quite new and service is good. But there is room for improvement for the food. For the starters we have prawns and burrata tomato. The prawns were done just right but too heavily seasoned (salty). For the main, we had the seafood pasta which was served cold to slightly warm, smothered in too much parmesans and way too much salt. The Parmesan is salted already. The scallops and prawns were overcooked and tough. The lamb skewer serving was very small for an adult (one skewer on a small plate) and seasoning was too salty with a mixture of tandoori and Thai flavor. The beef was fine but the bok Choy was overpowered by the parmesans (they clashed). The presentation of the food was average and the tables could benefit from some candlelight or table lights as it was too dark.

First of all, I would like to commend Emilio, who was extremely welcoming from the moment we arrived. In addition to being an excellent professional, he proved to be a wonderful person, which made our experience at the restaurant even more enjoyable. As for the place itself, the atmosphere is elegant, intimate, and offers a great menu. We are vegetarians, and Emilio recommended a few dishes for us. He truly surprised us — everything was absolutely delicious. My compliments as well to the chef, who delivered remarkable flavors and a blend of textures that truly elevated the dishes. I will certainly recommend it, and we will definitely be back!

This is a high-quality restaurant that surpasses many well-known, highly rated establishments. Although it’s tucked away inside the Saga Hotel and not as widely recognized, it’s absolutely worth a visit—you won’t regret it. Lamb schnitzel is a piece of art!
