I like this place a lot! The fish was outstanding! The fish and chips are in a class of the best not just in Iceland, but in the world. I had a very delicious and tender baked fish. I don't even know what kind of fish it was, but some local Icelandic catch. I loved it. The fries are also very good. Not the best, but very good. I wouldn't wear something you don't want smelling like fried food though. It is a place that specializes in fried fish. So this isn't a problem, but if you have a favorite cashmere sweater, I wouldn't wear it here. The service is very nice, and they speak great English. The atmosphere is lively too. Very cool part of town.
Delicious fish and chips.. While it has a somewhat simple flavor, the fish is wonderfully fresh. I still favor the UK style of fish and chips.. We also ordered the fish stew, which consists of fish meat, potatoes, and butter 👍🏻 If you're in the neighborhood, you should definitely stop by and give it a try.
Good cod and crispy succulent batter, but not up to the very best. Chips good but lacking in freshness. However, excellent value. Counter service. Salad is over dressed.
It's a very nice place, my boyfriend loves the fish and chips from here. As a gluten intolerant I chose the only gluten free dish. It was good, the fish itself is very oily which would have been a problem if there is a little bit more side dish. But it should be gluten safe, I didn't have symptoms because of that.
The bread was really good! What I got the arctic char, fish soup and fish and chips. The Fish and Chips - the fish was really good! the meat was chunky and not thin. The fries were also good, no salt though, which I appreciated. The fish soup was also very good. The arctic char was also very good! I believe I got salmon, I'd wouldve wanted to some other types of fish, but overall the meal was excellent. THE BREAD THOUGH! It was so so so so good! Environment Nice and cozy inside, with quite a number of open seating available. You need to order before you can take a seat. Niceness of the staff Very nice staff, we were a party of 5 and so all the dishes we had we shared and the staff was nice to give us separate plates to share. Dollar It was reasonable I think. The total was 17K KR, around $140 for 5 people. Yes? I would return here for everything I have ordered!
