We visited Einstök Bar in the evening and were welcomed with a warm and friendly atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Since we couldn't decide what to order, we asked the staff for recommendations. They kindly offered us three complimentary beer samples, which made choosing much easier. It was a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to unwind. After tasting the samples, it was easy to pick the beer that suited our taste. If you're interested in trying Icelandic craft beer but aren't sure what to order, don't hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations. We had a great experience and really appreciated their hospitality.
Truly wonderful people who work here! I am traveling and an old Icelandic man started to talk to me. He was very nice and nothing weird. I love to chat with people especially locals so I entertained it. He was extremely drunk which was a bit concerning but overall no issue occurred. The bartenders were all checking in on me and giving me a thumbs up to make sure I was okay whenever he would get too close. I felt extremely safe as a young female traveler that if anything did escalate they would’ve stepped in. I wish all the bartenders all the best for being such upstanding people and checking in every one in a while! As well for being so friendly and answering any questions my friend and I had about Iceland! (Context: this man and I chatted for maybe 20 minutes, and he never did anything weird or odd for the interaction to be dramatic enough to distract the bartenders from their job. Regardless I was with a friend as well so I was in control of the situation.)
My husband and I went here for some great Einstök beers on our first day in Reykjavic (Tuesday 05/19). Our bartender was awesome!! We've had Einstök in NY and always enjoyed it, so we were excited to be able to drink it locally. The bar, itself, had a great atmosphere and was very comfortable. The beers didn't disappoint, and the service was A+! Keep in mind, this is a bar, not a restaurant. There isn't any food, but there are so many options in the area; it's a great place to go for some drinks. It's a full bar, as well, so plenty of options for non-beer drinkers.
A fine establishment dedicated to Iceland’s finest export. The consistently have a full run of Einstök’s exceptional offerings.
Nice relaxing time in the Einstok Bar. Finally was able to try out Einstok beers on tap. Did not disappoint, beers were smooth and fresh. We went during noon-afternoon. Not so crazy busy on a weekend for us. Had fast service and the bartender was a chill dude. Would visit again.
