Very nice hotel. Beware they do not allow cancelations or refunds. We unfortunately had to change our plans and were due to forfeit our full payment for a corner suite. Our travel agent was able to negotiate a switch but we moved to a much lower end room and did not get reimbursed for the significant cost difference. Greedy behaviour put a damper on our stay but it is a nice hotel.
Location was great, view from balcony was beautiful. Staff very friendly and bed super comfy. Room had tea/coffee and shower was amazing. The only downside was the door to the bathroom didn't lock and had a gap around it. Not much privacy but luckily it was just me and the Husband. Overall it was a great stay and the hotel is next to bus stop 9 if you use the bus from the airport. Perfect!
The hotel itself is nice enough and th3 location us reasonably practical. We had a double room with balcony, which is pretty much in the low to middle of their offerings, but when we asked for an upgrade they said we already had "the top floor room" an couldn't do better... When we did get to the room it was cramped and poorly designed. We basically had no walking space, shower / toilet door didn't close all the way, the shower didn't have any space to hold our things (hair products, razors, etc) and there was no coffee machine in the room. None of that is a big problem, but it is dispointing from a 4 stars Hotel...
We were there on holiday and its was a great choice. The Hotel is in the heart of the City, easy to get to every places on Reykiavik, walking or by bus. The service was exceptional, people working there were really profissional and always available to help us with a smile. Althought everybody was really nice, I must say that Joana, on the front desk, made all the difference on the days we were there and deserves a special "thank you". Center Hotels Laugavegur: best choice we could have made.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for three nights during my solo birthday trip in April, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making check-in smooth and effortless. My room exceeded expectations—it was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully prepared, complete with a sweet handwritten birthday note that made me feel so special. One of the most convenient aspects of my stay was the location. The bus stops for all of my tours were right outside the hotel, making pickups and drop-offs incredibly easy and stress-free. For my birthday dinner, I chose to dine at Lóa Restaurant in the hotel—and it was hands down the best decision I made. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were easily the best I had during my entire trip. Andrei truly made the evening unforgettable. He went above and beyond with his service—every drink he crafted was perfect, and his attention to detail and genuine care made me feel celebrated the entire night. To top it all off, he surprised me with a candle on my dessert so I could make a birthday wish, which was such a thoughtful and touching gesture. Overall, this stay exceeded all of my expectations, and it played a huge part in making my birthday so special. I can’t wait to come back!
