Description
The tour begins with pickup from your hotel or nearest bus stop and transport to the ATV base camp on Reykjavik’s outskirts. Experienced guides provide protective gear before you start your quad biking adventure.
You will ride along rocky trails to Lake Hafravatn, then ascend Reykjavik Peak. From there, take photos of Reykjavik’s colorful rooftops, the waters of Faxaflói Bay, and Mount Esjan. On clear days, spot the Reykjanes Peninsula volcanoes and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with its Snæfellsjökull glacier.
After descending to base camp, you'll be escorted to Reykjavik Domestic Airport to meet your helicopter pilot. The scenic flight includes a mountaintop landing for 20 minutes of photography before returning to the airport. The total experience lasts about one hour, allowing time to continue your day in Reykjavik.
