Description

The tour begins with a morning pick-up from authorized locations in Reykjavik. Travel south to Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where a pathway allows you to walk behind the falls.

Continue through striking landscapes to Sólheimajökull glacier for a guided glacier hike. Your certified guide provides glacier safety equipment and explains ice formations, glacier movements, and crevasses. Experience the sound of ancient ice cracking as it shifts.

Next, visit Reynisfjara black sand beach to see basalt columns, a cave, the Reynisdrangar cliffs, and basalt sea stacks rising from the Atlantic Ocean.

End the daytime tour at Skogafoss waterfall, where you can climb 527 steps for panoramic views of the falls and rainbows on clear days. On clear weather, views of volcanoes including Eyjafjallajökull and Hekla are visible.

Return to Reykjavik around 7:00 PM for dinner before starting the Northern Lights tour.
