Off the coast, the volcanic Westman Islands archipelago can be seen, with only one island inhabited.

Continue to Vík, the southernmost and largest village in the area with 291 inhabitants, situated on Iceland’s main ring road.
On the return journey to Reykjavík, visit the Skógafoss waterfall. Take a short walk up steps to vantage points overlooking glaciers, volcanoes, and black sandy beaches.
