Description
Embark on a 3-day adventure through Iceland's Golden Circle, South Coast, and glaciers. Visit the Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, and Geysir geothermal area. Explore the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, and the South Coast of Iceland.
Day 1: Golden Circle & South Coast
Start with a visit to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you can see the unique rift valley between tectonic plates. Next, witness the awe-inspiring Gullfoss waterfall and explore the famous Geysir geothermal area. Afterward, head towards the South Coast to visit Reynisfjara, Iceland’s famous black sand beach with its striking basalt columns and powerful Atlantic waves.
Upon arrival at the hotel, your guide will update you on the chances of seeing the Northern Lights. If conditions are favorable, you may venture out in search of magical Aurora. Kindly note that the best viewing season is from September to March.
Day 2: Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach
Day two takes you further along the South Coast, where you’ll visit the stunning Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, followed by sightseeing at Diamond Beach, where icebergs from the lagoon wash up on the shore.
Optional activity (included in deluxe option): Crystal Ice Cave (Oct-Apr) or Katla Ice Cave (May-Sep). Join a 3-hour tour to a naturally formed ice cave.
If you weren't able to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights on the first night, you have another chance during your second night in the countryside, away from city's light pollution.
Day 3: Vik, Black Sand Beach & Waterfalls
The final day begins with exploring the charming village of Vik with a black sand beach, spectacular sea cliffs, and basalt formations. From there we will continue our way back to Reykjavik, stopping at the iconic Skógafoss waterfall. We will also visit the breathtaking Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can walk behind the cascading water.
The tour concludes as you return to Reykjavík, filled with unforgettable memories of Iceland’s natural beauty, from glaciers to waterfalls and everything in between.
