Your Experience Your journey begins as you arrive at our beautiful husky base, set against the stunning backdrop of Iceland’s open plains and distant mountains. You’ll be greeted by our passionate and experienced mushers — professional dog handlers who dedicate their lives to caring for, training, and bonding with our huskies. Before the ride begins, you’ll get a short introduction to dog riding in Iceland, learning about the dogs’ training, their strong pack instincts, and how they communicate with their mushers. You’ll quickly notice how much they love to run — tails wagging, eyes sparkling with anticipation — ready to show you what they do best! Once everyone is ready, your musher will guide the team and take you on an exhilarating 35-minute ride. Feel the crisp Arctic air on your face as you glide through the stunning Icelandic landscape, surrounded by silence except for the rhythmic sound of paws on snow. The sense of connection between human and dog is something truly special — a combination of teamwork, trust, and pure energy. Photo & Petting Time Halfway through the ride, we’ll pause for a break to meet the dogs up close. This is your chance to take memorable photos, give well-deserved belly rubs, and enjoy a cuddle or two! Our huskies love human interaction and will happily pose for pictures. These moments of affection are as important to them as the run itself. You’ll also have time to chat with your musher, who will share fascinating stories about life with sled dogs in Iceland — from training routines and nutrition to the deep bonds formed between people and their canine teammates.
