This winter-ready vehicle is built for Iceland’s smaller countryside roads. Enjoy a smoother ride, extra space, and panoramic windows for sky-gazing as you go. Leave the city behind and travel deeper into the Icelandic night, far from artificial lights. The journey is quiet, scenic, and shared with a smaller group, not more than 19 guests, making it feel more personal and relaxed. It’s a peaceful way to explore Iceland’s wintry wilderness, whether you’re traveling with friends, family, or flying solo. There’s no set route—only a shared mission: to find the aurora. Your guide uses real-time forecasts to choose the best possible viewing location, based on weather, cloud cover, and aurora activity. Once you arrive, the engine stops and the sky takes center stage. Make sure you’re dressed warmly. This is an adventure in the Arctic night. A cozy fleece or one of the provided blankets will keep you comfortable as you step outside. Enjoy a cup of hot cocoa and a chocolate treat while you look up and wait. When the Northern Lights appear, they sweep across the sky in vivid streaks of green, violet, or even red—a sight that’s hard to describe and impossible to forget. Photos are included, so your guide will capture the moment for you to take home, even if your camera can’t. If nature doesn’t cooperate and no lights are seen, no worries—you’ll get a free retry valid for 3 years.

However, our guides use their knowledge and local expertise to give you the best possible chance of seeing this incredible display. As the success of the tour is heavily dependent on weather conditions, we reserve the right to cancel departures until 18:15 on the day of the tour. Since the spectacle of the Northern Lights is very much weather-dependent, if no aurora is seen, you’ll have unlimited re-tries valid for up to 3 years. That’s right, you’ll be able to re-join the chase of Northern Lights until it’s a successful one! What to do in this case? Our Customer Care is ready to help you and book your next retry. During a retry, the tour is operated on a minibus instead of the 4x4 sprinter. Please keep in mind that refunds are not issued when a tour takes place, but no Northern Lights are seen.
