Our first major stop is Deildartunguhver, the most powerful hot spring in Europe. Here, you can witness water bubbling at a near-boiling 97°C (207°F), steaming out of moss-covered lava rocks. This geothermal marvel supplies hot water to much of West Iceland and powers local spas like Krauma. Next, we visit two stunning waterfalls: Hraunfossar ('Lava Falls') – A series of crystal-clear rivulets that seem to magically emerge from beneath the Hallmundarhraun lava field, cascading over a wide expanse into the Hvítá river.
