On August 12th, 2026, the Snæfellsnes Peninsula will be one of the best places in the country to see the total solar eclipse, with peak darkness around 17:48. This small-group tour starts in Reykjavík and takes you west through stunning coastlines, lava fields, volcanic craters, black-sand beaches, and the famous Snæfellsjökull glacier. At the eclipse viewing area, we set up a special camp where experts will explain how to safely watch and photograph the eclipse.
