Description

Day 1: Golden Circle and South Iceland Begin your adventure with a pickup in Reykjavík and head towards Iceland’s famous Golden Circle route. First, visit Þingvellir National Park, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates slowly drift apart. Next, continue to the Geysir Geothermal Area, home to Strokkur, which erupts every few minutes, sending hot water high into the air. Afterwards, stop at the breathtaking Gullfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most powerful and beautiful waterfalls. Then, head south through dramatic winter landscapes, passing lava fields, mountains, and glacier views along the way. Once you arrive at your accommodation, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Additionally, if conditions are favorable, you may have the chance to see the Northern Lights dancing across the night sky. Day 2: South Coast and Katla Ice Cave After breakfast, continue your adventure along Iceland’s spectacular South Coast. Begin by visiting the iconic Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, two of the country’s most photographed natural attractions. Afterward, travel towards the charming village of Vík and explore the famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, renowned for its dramatic basalt columns and powerful Atlantic waves. The highlight of the day is undoubtedly the incredible Katla Ice Cave. Located beneath the mighty Mýrdalsjökull Glacier, this natural wonder offers a unique opportunity to witness stunning blue ice formations, volcanic ash layers, and ever-changing glacier landscapes. Accompanied by an experienced glacier guide, you’ll safely explore the cave while learning about the glacier and the powerful Katla Volcano hidden beneath the ice. Finally, after an unforgettable day of exploration, return to Reykjavík in the evening with memories that will last a lifetime.
