Description
Begin your day at Eldhestar, just outside Reykjavik, with a ride on the Icelandic horse. This gentle breed is known for its smooth gait and has remained largely unchanged since the Vikings brought it in the 9th century. The ride is suitable for children aged 7 and older and riders of all skill levels. After the horseback ride, a light lunch is provided.
In the afternoon, explore the Golden Circle route. Visit Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland's most powerful waterfalls, and the Geysir hot spring area, home to erupting geysers including Strokkur. Walk through Þingvellir National Park, where you can see the rift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates and learn about Iceland’s historic parliament founded there.
Return to Reykjavik while enjoying views of fertile farmland and the Hellisheiði mountain heath, completing a day of nature, culture, and traditional Icelandic experiences.
