Tour Details
Íshestar Stables lies in tranquil countryside providing extensive riding, hiking, and outdoor activity opportunities. The Viking Tour includes approximately 2.5-3 hours of actual horseback riding with breaks, traversing lava fields and mountains. The stables welcome individuals, families, and groups looking to ride Icelandic horses.
All riders receive warm overalls, raingear, riding boots, and helmets fitted to size. Staff carefully match horses to riders for individual needs and safety. Backpacks, large cameras, or bags are not allowed on the ride but can be stored safely at the centre.
For safety reasons, guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs are excluded. Pregnant women are not permitted due to risk in case of accident. Riders must inform guides of any health conditions that could affect participation. Parents and children must remain in the same group if split during riding. Maximum rider weight is 110 kilograms (250 pounds).
