Description
Your tour begins with pickup from your cruise ship or port in Reykjavik, followed by a scenic 45-minute drive to Þingvellir National Park. Spend about 60 minutes exploring the rift valley and learning about Iceland’s first parliament, founded in 930 AD.
Next, drive 60 minutes through the countryside to the Geysir Geothermal Area. You will have approximately 45 minutes to watch the Strokkur geyser erupt regularly and explore hot springs and geothermal vents nearby.
Then a short 10-minute drive brings you to Gullfoss Waterfall, where you can enjoy 45 minutes at one of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls.
After Gullfoss, there is a scheduled 60-minute lunch break. While lunch is not included, the popular Friðheimar Tomato Farm offers dining inside a working greenhouse. Other recommendations can be provided based on your preferences.
The tour concludes with a return to Reykjavik. The total duration is around 7 to 8 hours, including all driving time.
