Experience Iceland’s winter landscapes from a unique perspective with Husky Iceland’s dog sledding tour. This adventure combines the thrill of sledding across snowy trails with exploring the Icelandic wilderness alongside friendly, energetic huskies.
Upon arrival at the agreed location, you will be warmly welcomed by the family-run Husky Iceland team and introduced to the sled dogs. You will have the chance to interact with them and learn about their personalities.
Your guide will provide a full safety briefing and explain how to work with the dogs during the ride. You will be suited up in warm gear and then set off on the sled, either driving or as a passenger, along scenic and safe trails. The ride’s pace varies with terrain and weather, featuring a mix of exciting speeds and calm stretches.
The tour showcases Iceland’s natural beauty, including snowy fields, mountainous terrain with panoramic views, and possibly ice-capped glaciers depending on the route. You will hear only the sounds of huskies' paws and the sled sliding across the snow.
After completing the route, you return to the starting point where you can rest and thank the dogs. The experience ends with photo opportunities and a chance to talk with the team about their passion and history with sledding.
