This is not a bus tour or sightseeing stop. It’s a full hike to Iceland’s most active eruption zone—Fagradalsfjall—where new lava flowed as recently as 2024 and 2025.
Located in the Reykjanes Peninsula just 40 minutes from Reykjavík, this small-group or private adventure takes you through black lava fields, steaming hills, and dramatic viewpoints shaped by recent eruptions.
Why choose this tour?
• Small group – no buses, no crowds
• Local guides from Grindavík & Keflavík with real eruption experience
• Walk on new lava and learn the science behind each eruption
• Crampons and poles included if needed
