Description

On day one, depart Reykjavík and travel along Iceland’s south coast. Your first stop is Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can walk behind the cascading water. Next, visit Skógarfoss waterfall and climb the staircase for a panoramic view.

Continue to Reynisfjara black sand beach to see Dyrhólaey Island, the Reynisdrangar sea stacks, and the basalt column cave. Then stop in the village of Vík for a lunch break.

From Vík, head east toward Vatnajökull National Park, home to Vatnajökull glacier, the largest in Europe. Stay overnight at a hotel in Skaftafell.

On day two, embark on a three-hour guided ice cave tour on an outlet glacier of Vatnajökull. The tour includes all necessary equipment and expert glacier guides. After the glacier hike, enjoy a lunch break.

Later, visit Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon to observe floating icebergs and seals from the shore. Return to Reykjavík, arriving around dinner time.
