After pickup in Reykjavík, the tour begins with a visit to Hveragerði’s geothermal springs. Here you can watch the Eilífur Geyser erupt every 15 to 20 minutes and walk among bubbling hot springs. Sample hverabrauð, sweet bread baked using geothermal heat in an on-site bakery.
Next, the route continues to the Kerið crater, a volcanic crater 55 meters deep and 270 meters wide. Then you will visit Gullfoss waterfall, a double-drop cascade over 30 meters high where remote farms and Icelandic horses may be seen along the way.
