The Puffin Express by RIB speedboat provides an exciting and fast ride to Lundey and Akurey islands, located 15 minutes from the Old Harbour. These small islands feature rocky shores and hills, attracting colorful birdlife including thousands of puffins.
Our RIB speedboats’ shallow draft allows close access to the islands. Upon arrival, the engine is turned off so passengers can observe puffins and other birds such as northern fulmars, gulls, arctic terns, and black guillemots. The licensed guide shares detailed information about the birds and their habitat throughout the tour.
The tour combines fun and education while respecting tourists’ limited time in Iceland.
