Just 5-minute walk from the Seljalandsfoss in the canyon hides another beautiful waterfall Gljúfrabúi, which you will have time to visit. Then continue to Skogafoss, a mighty waterfall visible from the road. A staircase winds up the grassy slope beside the waterfall, walk up there if you want to catch some spectacular views of the waterfall andIceland’s South Coast. On a sunny day, both waterfalls will be made even more beautiful by splendid rainbows. Your next stop is the Dakota Plane Wreck. Located on the stunning Solheimasandur black beach in South Iceland, the Dakota Plane Wreck has lately become a popular site for locals and tourists alike due to the wild landscape around it and the beautiful pictures that can be taken here. The walk to the plane wreck takes about 1-hour each way. It is an easy walk but it is important to be prepared for the weather as it is often windy and rainy! You will then visit the cliffs of Dyrholaey and Reynisfjara, the famous black sand beach with basalt columns and caves. Vík comes next, this charming fishing village on the coast, famous for its volcanic beaches and sea stacks. From there you will return to Reykjavik.
