Description
We will drive up Eyjafjallakökull together, you'll be driving there yourself of a heavily modified expedition-ready Jeep Wrangler. After a briefing on the vehicle and technology, we drive south together to the starting point on Eyjafjallajökull - the volcano that erupted in 2010 and paralyzed air traffic between Europe and the USA for a long time. When we get off the main road, we drive relatively quickly uphill on the mountain on a natural track. The track becomes increasingly challenging, loose stones, slippery and very steep sections - and then we hit the snow, sometimes relatively easy to ride, but sometimes really challenging, the slope gets steeper and steeper into a dream world. At the top, you'll be standing right next to the “Stone of God” – are there any cooler photo opportunities than this? We’ll have lunch for you here. Once at the top, depending on the weather and conditions, we extend the tour and cross a large section of the Eyjafjallajökull. Of course you will learn everything about the last volcanic eruption at first hand and directly on site. Please note - if the weather conditions make the ascent too dangerous we will switch to other glaciers or drive over volcanic craters. It will be spectacular in any case.Includes
