Description

Explore the South Coast of Iceland from Skarfabakki Cruise Terminal. Visit the Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, a visit to Solheimajokull glacier and the black sand beach of Reynisfjara. Start your day with a pickup from cruise terminal and head to the South Coast of Iceland. Stop at the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls, known for the unique opportunity to walk behind the cascade. The 60-meter high waterfall offers stunning views and great photo opportunities. Continue to the Skógafoss Waterfall, another iconic waterfall. Skógafoss is also 60 meters high but much wider than Seljalandsfoss. On sunny days, you can often see a double rainbow in the mist of the falls. There's a staircase beside the waterfall that leads to the top, offering panoramic views. Gljúfrabúi is partially hidden by a cliff and nestled within a canyon. This unique setting gives it a magical, secretive atmosphere and makes it a favorite among photographers and nature enthusiasts. Next, visit the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, famous for its basalt columns, towering sea stacks called Reynisdrangar, and powerful waves. It’s one of the most dramatic and photogenic beaches in Iceland. Sólheimajökull is a glacier in southern Iceland, located between the volcanoes Katla and Eyjafjallajökull. It is an outlet glacier, meaning it extends from the larger ice cap of Mýrdalsjökull.
