Bónus Super Market
Reykjavik
Bónus is a low-price grocery store chain in Iceland. When they first opened their doors in 1989 - one could almost say there was a price revolution in the country - in the founder's words 'the name Bonus refers to the discount our customers will receive.' The logo, a pink piggy bank, portrays the same ethos.
Today they have 29 super markets, 19 in Reykjavík and 10 in the countryside, including a couple right in the center of the city: on Laugavegur high street and on Hallveigarstígur, so keep an eye out if you're looking to save a few bucks.
