Explore the Reykjanes Peninsula by ATV, starting in Grindavík and riding out to the new lava field that recently flowed into the town. This area shows the volcanic forces shaping the region today.
You will see the contrast between fresh black lava and ancient volcanic landscapes formed by an eruption 2000 years ago. The tour highlights Grindavík’s history of living alongside volcanic activity.
The route includes stops near new craters, allowing you to stand on ground that was molten lava just months earlier and capture the unique scenery created by geothermal activity.
The automatic ATVs are easy to control and require no previous experience. Prices are per person and assume two riders per ATV. Children must be accompanied by a guardian.
