Very clean room, good location. The front desk staff member was exceptionally kind and thoughtful, and even offered to carry my suitcase since he was concerned that the room we were staying in unusually had a few stairs from the elevator. It was not a problem at all, but the offer was kind. Our flight left before the start of the included breakfast, so I requested an early riser breakfast. It is thoughtful for the hotel to offer that at all, though it would be nice if it consisted of more than coffee, orange juice and croissants, especially given the price paid for the room. Street parking was available a few blocks away.

Amazing, clean and new Hotel. Beautifully decorated with lots of relaxing spaces and beautifully large rooms. We had a room that had a gorgeous balcony. The rooms had everything you could need great curtains to blackout the midnight sun. The beds are very firm, but I found that to be the case in all of Iceland. Restaurants bars, and the breakfast was very delicious. Best part of the stay was Mango the cat who we met several nights while out walking in front of the hotel and then found him sleeping inthe chairs during the day. He was the cutest thing ever. We actually did not choose this hotel. We chose another hotel by Center hotels and when we arrived at the original hotel, we were told we were being moved this hotel and we were so glad that that happened because this was the perfect location to walk everywhere in Reykjavík. Very close to getting a famous hotdog 🌭, lots of restaurants and a great nightlife scene if you’re into that. Parking was easily accessible, but you will have to pay for it. All in all an amazing day.I will definitely be back.

Had a great stay at this hotel! The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean. It’s in a good spot, easy to walk to the city centre from here. There is also a lovely bakery right next door. There is street parking which you pay for on the Parka app. I would definitely stay here again!

We’ve just returned from a wonderful three-night stay at Grandi by Center Hotels, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. The hotel’s ambience was calm, and deeply relaxing, and the spa was truly exceptional — especially the open skylight, which made it feel unique and tranquil. It was the perfect place to unwind after long days of exploring. We also really appreciated the extended opening hours (6am–10pm during our stay), which made it easy to enjoy at our convenience. Every member of staff we encountered was fantastic and consistently went above and beyond, particularly the reception team. Thank you so much for your patience with four demanding siblings! We didn’t manage to catch your names, but we believe one was Polensia and a gentleman working the night shift (8–8). You both made a lasting impression and truly helped make our once-in-a-lifetime holiday even more special. The location is also ideal — just a 10–15 minute walk into downtown Reykjavík, making it perfect for exploring the city at a relaxed pace. Close to Harbour so easy access for Whale Tours/Museum, FlyOver and Lava Show etc. 3 min walk to bus stop 17 I will edit review once sister confirm private transfer because I highly recommend! Breakfast 10/10 Bar snacks 10/10 Room service 10/10 Bakery attached 10/10 A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Grandi. We would absolutely love to return.

We recently stayed here for 4 nights and both thought it was a fabulous hotel. The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful. The decor is beautiful - quite retro but very well done. The seating area and bar are both very warm and cosy and there’s a great playlist on all the time. We had breakfast on two of the mornings and there was a really varied food selection which was constantly topped up. We had a spa session included in our booking - the spa is nice but when we went at 5pm it was so busy so we didn’t stay long. At a quieter time I imagine it would be much more relaxing. The bedroom was really comfortable. There is also a bakery and cafe attached to the hotel called Hygge - this was amazing. Excellent pastries and coffee. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the main part of Reykjavik. We loved been slightly outside and close to the Harbour.
