Lovely getaway in a touristy area. Speakeasy vibe. Amazing cocktails and knowledge by the staff. Tell the bartender what you like, or what mood you're in (Helga was mine) and they'll make you a cocktail that matches your taste.
I found this lounge accidentally and am so glad I did. I had reservations at a top restaurant in Reykjavik but due to a northern lights tour, we changed our plans. I found this lounge to get what I thought would be a casual dinner before my tour and it ended up being one of my best meals in Iceland! The lounge was packed with professionals and had a very fun and lovely vibe while not being loud. I sat at the bar with my wife and we had a few amazing cocktails. The bartender was very friendly and engaging. We ordered a carpaccio dish which was incredible, very tender meat with goat cheese and Parmesan cheese topped with pomegranate seeds that were all so fresh and a wonderful combination! We also got the arctic char appetizer which was just as good or better than other top restaurant and finally, got the cauliflower wings which were better than actual wings and super tasty. I highly recommend and will absolutely return on our next trip to Reykjavik.
We went on new year's eve for a couple of drinks and we were very impressed. The cocktails we had were very creative and well made. Service was fast and efficient.
I had a fantastic time at Tipsy! I came in while it was still a bit early, so the place hadn't filled up yet. I sat at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the bartender, Oliver. I love cocktails, and he answered all my questions, and even recommended another bar for me to try out. I highly recommend this bar if you're in Reykjavik!
