Cafe Mezzo
Reykjavik
Mezzo is a small, family owned café that sits on the second floor of Iða book shop on Lækjargata, in the heart of down-town Reykjavik. The cafe has, as the name indicates, an Italian twist, serving Sicilian Moak coffee, paninis and foccacias, as well as the more standard café fare, in addition to some of the finest Chinese and Indian teas and chais. Some days they will offer home-baked bread, and you can browse through a selection of books from the book shop while you sip your coffee. They sit right beside Lækjartorg square, just a stone's throw from the pond, making it a perfect place to stop after feeding the ducks with your kids, or to take a break from all your shopping. Alltogether a cozy and relaxed experience.
