The story of Epal begins 40 years ago when Eyjolfur Palsson, founder of Epal returned to his home in Iceland after finishing his degree in furniture design in Copenhagen. From the beginning the main goal of Epal has been to increase Icelanders interest and respect for fine design by introducing and providing top quality design products from all over the world, particularly Scandinavia. Epal has always been very supportive of Icelandic designers and done what they can to help them promote their designs around the world. Epal has been quite successful over the years and now they run three Epal stores in Iceland, one in Skeifan, another one at Keflavik Airport and the third and most recent one in Harpa concert hall and conference center.
