There were not towels provided, though there is a shower. Warning: The water smells like sulfur and is rather unpleasant. It’s because Reykjavík heats most of its water using geothermal energy. The key process for late arrivals was a little confusing. There is another guesthouse next door (26) that we stayed in. All in all, a decent place to stay with comfortable beds and duvets (a nice change from hotels) but it’s very bare-bones. I would have appreciated towels—at least a hand towel for the bathroom. The available kitchen was a nice surprise. Everything besides the bedroom is shared (bathroom, kitchen) with the room Nextdoor so you’ll need to be especially mindful of noise and cleaning up after yourself.
Really great budget option. Incredible location, right in the heart of the city with free parking nearby. Room was basic but perfect for our needs with a small kitchenette for easy meals.
Good breakfast, mattress was very thin and I didn't have good night's, I told the person at the reception but it seems like it didn't matter and young people at breakfast reception are not really caring, if you work in restauration or hotel industry you should not be like that
Room is small but we actually shared a kitchen and bathroom with another room (4 bedder) Bed is a tad too soft and is of smaller size. Breakfast area is small and hence pretty crowded especially early morning. Bread taste great. Location is perfect - just a few min walk to the church. BSI Bus terminal is just 15mins walk downslope from hotel.
