Borg Restaurant

Borg Restaurant is the restaurant connected with Hotel Borg, an institution in the Reykjavik center. The restaurant is of the highest class and features light and fresh courses with influences from Europe, Asia and the Caribbean, amongst others. The elegant decor and the friendly and professional staff will help to make the dining experience one you will never forget.

The head chef of the restaurant is Icelandic celebrity chef Völundur Völundsson who has lived and worked in the Bahamas, and taking the influences from that cuisine and mixing it with his native Icelandic food, has written cook books and produced the television series Delicious Iceland, which aired on the BBC Lifestyle channel, amongst others. He is renowned for his adventurousness and creativity, and the Borg menu reflects this spirit.

The restaurant is decorated in a tasteful art deco style intertwined with the playfulness and colourfulness of modern times. Positioned in the heart of Reykjavik, it overlooks the Austurvöllur open-air square, a beautiful plaza of historic importance. The restaurant also features a sizable bar which makes it the perfect place to drop by for a quiet drink before heading to bed.
