My friends and I came for dinner on Friday and had a fantastic meal. I had the charr to start with a ribeye, fries and blue cheese sauce main. All of it was delicious and I would highly recommend visiting if you're visiting. The staff were nice and very accommodating for our group of 8. Apparently it gets very busy, so I would recommend booking in advance.

We decided to be adventurous and try some of Iceland’s most unique and traditional dishes — and it completely paid off. 🇮🇸🍽️ The fin whale steak was unlike anything we’ve ever tasted. It was tender, rich, and surprisingly delicate, with a deep flavor that paired perfectly with the sauces served alongside it. The honey glazed reindeer tenderloin was absolutely phenomenal — soft, juicy, and slightly sweet from the glaze, while still keeping that bold wild-game flavor. Easily one of the standout dishes of the night. We also had the pan fried cod loin, served with potato purée, tomato concasse, chorizo oil, and parmigiano foam. The cod was perfectly cooked — buttery, flaky, and incredibly fresh — while the combination of flavors made the dish feel both comforting and refined. Every sauce complemented the meals beautifully, and the staff took the time to explain each dish and recommend how the steaks are best cooked, which made the whole experience even more special. For our first time in Reykjavík, this meal became more than just dinner — it became one of the best food experiences we’ve had so far, and honestly made the trip worthwhile.

Paid 17,000 ISK (~117€) for two ribeye steaks, sides, and a glass of Prosecco. Steak was overcooked, full of fat, sides bland. Bread was fine, but open kitchen was loud—staff singing and laughing—and the restroom smelled awful. Way overpriced for the experience.

One of the best restaurants located right near the water. Quiet and cozy atmosphere, with pleasant background music. The waiter is attentive and friendly, and service is fast. The steak was heavenly, very tender, the fries (or chips) were crispy and well-salted, and the dessert was equally delicious. Everything is homemade and freshly prepared. Overall, it is highly recommended and worth visiting again and again.
