Reviews
I stumbled upon Hjá Joni after a few disappointing dining experiences in Reykjavik, and it was such a breath of fresh air. The waiters were kind, friendly, and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Once I discovered this place, I ended up having the rest of my meals in Reykjavik here. I stayed at Hotel Reykjavik Saga, which was just a few mins walk away, making it incredibly convenient. Their breakfast was easily one of the best in the city in terms of quality and value. Overall, an amazing experience.
stayed at the hotel for 3 days and tried the food on the final night with our group. everything was amazing. good ambient, delicious food!
The service was great, everyone was polite and fast. The soup was good but the bread was a bit stale/dry The stake was a little bit over but seasoned well, needed more souce with the main course We got a stone pit in our cake, it was a date cake.
If I could give this resturant 1000 stars I would. Truly Michelin worthy! THE FOOOOOOOOD. OMG. the chef is truly talented, every detail not overlooked, attention to detail is very much appreciated. The service superb, everyone was attentive and so nice. But I cant stop thinking about the fooooood. We tried at least seven different restaurants in Reykjavik and this one was our favourite. I hate that it is overlooked because its new.... it deserves all the praise, the chef and the staff were beyond perfect. Thank you for my most memorable and favorite meals in Reykjavik.
