Wow, this was my first meal in Iceland and I was not expecting it to be so incredible. I had the classic Plokkfiskur. It was melt in your mouth. My friend had the fish and chips and it was also delicious! Very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff

This was absolutely so delicious. My last night in Reykjavík and one of my friends suggested that I go here and do the lamb dish! Never had a more satisfying meal! Very friendly efficient staff

Stopped in one afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner & a beer. The place was recommended to me from the kind folks at hand knitting association down the street from them. I had the fish and chips and a Viking beer and a chocolate cake dessert. All was very good. As was the service. Thank You. ROD N.Y.

I had an amazing dining experience at Salka Valka Eldhús on Rainbow Street in Iceland. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, comfortable, and inviting perfect for our group of eight. The space felt cozy yet lively, making it a great spot for both small and larger gatherings. The service was easily 5 stars. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the evening. Now, the food, absolutely incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. Truly “food porn” in the best way possible! Everything we tried was delicious and felt thoughtfully prepared, which explains why this place holds such a strong rating on Google. One thing to note: the food does take a little time to come out, but it’s completely worth the wait. You can tell that care goes into every dish. Overall, a memorable experience and definitely a must-visit if you’re in Reykjavík

There are not enough words to describe how great this place was. Food was great, service was wonderful, and everything about the restaurant was charming. We went here for our first and last dinners in Reykjavík and it was by far our favorite. We tried the Plokkfiskur, fish & chips, and their garlic sourdough pizza. Everything was fresh and delicious! It was a short walk from our hotel and a place we will likely be talking about fondly years into the future.
