UNO Restaurant
Reykjavik
If you don't want a big meal, choose from a selection of appetizers like baked cheese, their renowned carpaccio or the Flanini with Parma ham, which you won't find anywhere else.
Uno is all at once an intimate and vivacious restaurant in the Reykjavík city centre. Best known for its creative antipasti and attractive atmosphere, this modern bistro prides itself on providing food of the highest quality, where Icelandic ingredients meet Mediterranean cuisine. Every dish is handmade from beginning to end: fresh bread is made every morning, and everything right down to the broth and sauces is made from scratch.
Uno has recruited some of the best young chefs in the city through its ambitious artisan approach and as a result the restaurant has won the hearts and minds of many loyal patrons in Reykjavík. The menu strives for balance between classic Italian tradition and modern influences and ranges from seafood to vegetarian to steak and beyond. The price range is moderate and the lively lounge offers an impressive cocktail list. Handmade syrups are mixed with high-quality ingredients: fruits, berries, herbs and chillis.
Uno is situated in a historic building downtown, 'The Falcon House', by the main square, Ingólfstorg and the interior design and charming window view are the finishing touches to an already incredible meal.
Every day starts with Happy Hour from 17 - 19 when beer and wine are 50% off. The kitchen is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and until 11pm the rest of the week, which means UNO is perfect to stop by after a concert at Harpa concert hall down the street, or after a relaxing luxury evening at the Blue Lagoon.
