Police - Lögreglan
Reykjavik
We sincerely hope that you will have no reason to contact the police during your stay in Iceland. However, should you need to, the police is your first contact for any safety, crime or civil defense needs, and they are known for nothing other than excellence and professionalism.
The number to call in case of emergency is 112, whether for the police, fire department or ambulance service. This is also the number you can call if you're lost or stranded in the countryside.
Following is a list of the country's police stations and local numbers for less urgent matters.
