Elding Puffin Watching
Reykjavik
In 2008, Elding received the Environmental Awards of the Icelandic Tourist Board.
Elding operates daily puffin watching tours from Reykjavík Old Harbour from mid May to mid August. The charismatic puffins come to Iceland to breed during the summer time and around Reykjavík they nest on the islands Akurey and Lundey.
The islands shores are rocky but the captain knows the best spots to get close to the puffins in their natural habitat. Each tour takes between 1 - 1,5 hours. Together with introduction and safety information expert guides tell you interesting facts about the puffins and other birds in the area. Rain jackets and binoculars are available for use during the tour.
Elding is EarthCheck certified and all boats hold the Blue Flag.
