Directions to Elding Sea Angling
Elding operates daily sea angling tours from Reykjavík Old Harbour from May to August. Sea angling is a great way to get to know this traditional Icelandic activity and try the famous Icelandic fish. Common catches include cod, cat fish, haddock, whiting, pollack and even halibut.
The sea angling tour is an experience you just can't miss, whether you're a new beginner or a seasoned sailor. The fresh air in your lungs , the open sea, and catching fish with your own two hands make for an unforgettable experience. Each tour takes between 3 - 3,5 hours. Together with introduction and safety information expert guides share their experience and teach you the best techniques for sea angling. Rain jackets are available for use during the tour but it is always advisable to dress warmly as the sea breeze can be very cold even on summer days. At the end of the tour you can barbecue your catch on board, fresh and without any fuss, or take it with you home.
Elding is EarthCheck certified and all boats hold the Blue Flag. In 2008 Elding received the Environmental Awards of the Icelandic Tourist Board.
Elding offers exclusive sea angling tours all year round. For more information please visit their website.
