We loved this restaurant. The food was excellent in both taste and presentation. They were very accommodating of my requests for small adjustments. Even the bread served before appetizers was some of the best bread I’ve had this trip. In total, we had the hummus, scallops, beef tenderloin, lamb chops, chicken, and sorbet.
Fabulous restaurant and a lovely introduction to some Icelandic cuisine. The lunch time was very busy so the staff worked hard to keep up but did a good job although a little rushed initially. They were pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was very good and beautifully presented. My only complaint would be the lamb was extremely rare (not the tartar but the roast), I was fine with this but personally I would have preferred to know this up front and it could have used an extra few minutes on the heat. We did the set menu to get a taste of some locally inspired dishes and can highly recommend. Would go again without hesitation.
In one word - AWESOME starts w/ great atmosphere, very nicely decorated restaurant. We choose the 2-course menu and it worth every penny. Rich with taste, very nicely smell, either the beef carpaccio or the tune. For the main we choose the Salmon-like fish and the lamb. Both are delicious
One of the best meals I had during my time in Iceland. The restaurant is beautiful, and I cannot say enough about how good the wait staff was. The food and drinks were also delicious, including the dilligin, the giant scallops, the lamb tartar, and the plaice. I just wish they didn’t have puffin on the menu.
A delicious restaurant in downtown Reykjavik. Pleasant atmosphere and service. Our friends from Toronto loved it. Decent wine selection. Very tasty duck and bone-in meat. The cod with sauce wasn't very good this time; it defrosted too quickly and was a bit dry. Not cheap.
