Delicious food, great service and buzzing atmosphere. We enjoyed bruschettas, the pasta Carbonara, pasta with meatballs, the chicken Parmesan and a pizza (great crunchy bottom and nice topping). Good portions and very friendly service. Also very much enjoyed the dessert of the day: chocolate tart like a Sacher torte. Recommend to make a reservation.

We came here based on the good reviews and we can see why. It was a Sunday so we didn’t book and we got a nice table by the window. The staff were all really friendly. For starters we had the anti pasti for two which was incredible. All the meats were great. Note that this is probably more for 4 people to start if you are having a main course. But it’s not a problem, they kindly offered to box it up so we could take home. For mains we had the seafood pasta and the pizza of the day which was sausage and onion. Omg it was just like being in Italy itself. Both were perfectly cooked and so authentic. Wonderful restaurant and a special mention to Rashid who gave us first class service and good recommendations on the wine.

Grazie Trattoria is a wonderful Italian restaurant in downtown Reykjavík, located on the corner of Barónsstígur and Hverfisgata. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with soft Italian music and friendly, attentive service. We started with an excellent antipasto misto – a perfect selection of Italian cured meats, Parma ham, pickled vegetables, olives, and outstanding garlic bread. The salt cod with olives, capers, mashed potatoes, and cherry tomatoes was a highlight – one of the best we’ve had, even compared to dishes in Portugal, Spain, and Italy. The cotoletta alla milanese was also very satisfying, and the pizzas had a thin, crispy crust with great flavor. Desserts were all delicious, especially the affogato, tiramisu, and panna cotta. A lovely bonus is their small gourmet shop and the option of cooking classes (pizza, pasta, and tiramisu). Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Italian food in Reykjavík.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this Italian restaurant. The pizzas were exceptionally fine, with fresh ingredients and a perfectly baked crust. The pasta dishes were full of flavor, and the bruschetta was fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. The service was excellent – the staff was very friendly and spoke English well, which made everything easy and pleasant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Another big plus was the speed: the food arrived quickly without compromising on quality. Overall, a fantastic Italian restaurant that we would happily visit again and highly recommend.
