Return visit after 5 years from a previous trip and first place I went after checking in at the hotel. Excellent quality and beautifully prepared and presented. Ever grateful for such a warm and nice welcome, as well as accommodating dietary restrictions of gluten and lactose free. Lamb melted in the mouth and the potatoes were perfectly cooked.

Great food quality! Dined here 3 times during my trip and my favourites are cod fish and ribeye steak. Portions are good and food is very well presented. Staff are very friendly and prompt in attending to diners. Highly recommend to try.

Located within the food hall, this small stall offers a surprisingly versatile menu, ranging from simple burgers to elegantly plated, fine dining dishes. As my first meal in Iceland, I ordered the Atlantic cod, and it was overall an excellent dish. It featured two sizable pieces of fresh, delicately prepared cod. The fish was complemented by a well crafted sauce that provided a rich flavor profile, as well as a purée that added a pleasant creaminess to the composition. Additionally, thinly sliced fried potatoes introduced an excellent textural crunch, while the broccolini offered a crisp, fresh reprieve from the richer elements on the plate. The only component missing from the dish was a contrasting note of heat or acidity. Introducing a spicy or acidic element would have perfectly balanced the complex flavors and heavy textures already present.

Food and service is fantastic. Great happy hour too. Kostis was one of the hosts and was fantastic, along with the others as well. The food is fresh and fairly priced. The lamb chops were better than any I have ever eaten. Also great food hall overall.

Insanely good cod this evening, paired with some wheat beer from the neighbouring stall and a snowstorm outside - even the folk we shared the bench with were nice! It really does not get better than this! I guess I should write something about the cod - it was perfectly cooked, with a bit of a crispy outside, and spot on in the middle. The sauce and veg were spot on too.
