Reykjavik is the northernmost city in the world, and used to be the home of vikings. It has endless delicacies and hidden gems to taste and visit, which you will experience throughout this 3 to 4-hour food tour.

  • Visit a chocolate factory
  • Sit down by the old harbor for the latest catch of the day
  • Visit Iceland's most famous bakery
  • Try rye bread ice cream, trout, fishermans stew, and more
  • Sample some Icelandic beer

Your tour begins from the entrance of the the Hallgrimskirkja Church at 11:00AM. From there, walk down to Iceland's most famous bakery where you'll try what Icelandics call Hjonabandasæla. You will learn how this is a traditional pastry which means 'happy marriage cake'. Following that, sit down at a restaurant that serves authentic Icelandic food and try their trout, fisherman's stew, shark, rye bread ice cream, and more. From there you'll visit a local pond where you can admire the wild bird life, before visiting the old harbor and getting a feeling of how a typical Icelandic fisherman's life at the harbor was like in the old days. You'll then savor the latest catch of the day at one of Reykjaviks finest restaurants, before tasting a variety of local beers or a glass of wine. You'll eventually end your tour at the Omnom Chocolate Factory, where you will enjoy a presentation and chocolate tasting.
